Hiking trip – National nature reserve Medník

Join us for traditional spring hiking trip to Medník! Many biologist, hikers, photographers, nature lovers are climbing this hill during last weekend of March and first two weekends of April to see the only place in Czech Rep. where dog’s-tooth violet (Erythronium dens-canis L.) grows. We will meet at 8:15 at Main train station in front of ticket offices and we will take train Os 9055 to Petrov u Prahy (you can join us there, if you wish). If you want to buy ticket together (it’s cheaper), you have to be at the point at 8:15. The train is leaving at 8:35. The ticket will cost about 50,- (both ways), if you have Prague transportation card. Since it’ll be hiking trip, be sure to have good shoes and appropriate clothes. Also some snack/lunch and bottle of water is handy — not sure if the pub will be open. If you like swimming in cold river, then also take swimsuit along 🙂 We will see except the flowering dog’s-tooth violet (Erythronium dens-canis L.), many other turists, the Sazava river and valey, typical oak-forests etc. And we will climb a hill 416,5 m high 🙂 and walk for cca 10 km.
