Trip to Kutná Hora

Kutná Hora is a UNESCO heritage town and we are going to visit it with Celie´s mother, who is a professional guide. Kutná Hora was a very important centre of silver mining and we are going to see monuments documenting this period of prosperity. For example the famous St. Barbora cathedral – a masterpiece of late gothic architecture, and the Italian court (Vlašský dvůr), where coins were made. We are also planning to visit the ossuary – a chapel decorated with artistically arranged human bones. It was created to commemorate the Black Death and the Hussite wars. We will meet at 7:40 at the TRAM STOP Hlavní nádraží (tram number 26 goes there from Hostivařská). This trip will cost 300 CZK (this price includes transport by train and entries – don´t forget your student card!). For the lunch, we will have a break, so you can either have a lunch at some restaurant (NOT included in the price of the trip – consider additional cost of about 200 CZK) or you have to take some sandwiches with you. Some of you signed up on the Orientation Day. If anybody else would like to attend, please fill in this sign up form.
