Sustainability trip to Brno 19th March 2022

Brno

Heyo! Have you already started to feel like a local in Prague, have become familiar with its streets and squares and wish to experience something different? It is time to get to know the second biggest city in the Czech Republic and the largest in Moravia – BRNO!

As students of the Faculty of Science, we are concerned about ongoing climate change and we would like to show you the city in a slightly different way than what you would most likely do during a usual tourist visit. While walking around Brno, there will be time to get to know its food scene and support local businesses – we will visit some of its numerous cafés, bars and restaurants (vegan and vegetarian friendly), we will have a chance to find some nice new/old outfits in thrift stores, we will climb up to the Špilberk castle to get a view of the city and the surrounding nature and most importantly we will have lots of time to chat and share our thoughts and ideas on (not only) sustainability.

Organisation info:
-We are going to meet at 7:45 at Praha hl. nádraží (Prague main train station). Our train leaves at 8:12 and arrives in Brno at 11:20. We are going to take the train at 19:38 and get back to Prague at 22:41.
-The trip is limited to 20 students so if you are interested, don`t hesitate and please fill in the form by Monday 14th March, 8pm. We will then buy a group train ticket and let you know the price so you can bring the exact cash. Please don’t forget to have your ISIC card on you.
