St Nicholas Night Orienteering

How well have you already got to know the campus? How fast can you get from Albertov 6 to Viničná 7? Whatever your answer was, St Nicholas night orienteering is the best event to show off! 🗺️

It’s taking place on Tuesday, the 6th of December and the start is on Hlavova 8. Don’t hesitate to grab your partner and enjoy sporty-christmas atmosphere with other members of the faculty (us included) —> (enrollment necessary)

Previous experience with orienteering is not necessary, the basic principles are listed below. You can come alone as well, the partner will be assigned to you. The whole event will be accompanied with music, mulled wine and friendly ambience. Please bring some sort of light (headlamp preferably), own cup for beverages, blanket to sit on… musical instruments are more than welcome as well 😄

Orienteering is a group of sports that require navigational skills using a map and compass to navigate from point to point in diverse and usually unfamiliar terrain whilst running or walking. Participants are given a topographical map, usually a specially prepared orienteering map, which they use to find control points. 🧭
